Paddington retail experience

The Paddington™ LoComotion immersive retail space at Blenheim Palace covered over 1,000 square feet and was a key feature of the production that ran for 12 weeks during the summer of 2023. The design needed to adapt to the challenges posed by a temporary structure while also handling the unpredictable British summer weather. Custom-built elements were at the heart of the design, including jar-shaped pendant lights and dynamic LED fixtures that captured the playful essence of Paddington, bringing a sense of charm and whimsy to the space.

A vibrant blue and orange colour palette was chosen to energise the environment, while bespoke furniture and thoughtfully curated displays of themed merchandise helped to create a cohesive, immersive experience for visitors. Custom seating areas with patterned cushions were designed to offer comfort while further enhancing the atmosphere. Each element worked together to blend the functionality of a retail space with the storytelling narrative central to the installation, creating a truly engaging experience for all who visited.
